This is a real home that I lived in.
The Kern family was the second owners of 2436 E. Brown, Phoenix AZ, from 1987-1992, taking it over from the Klein family. The Klein family had the home custom built for 5 kids, 3 of them boys, the oldest on the football team, and living in the semi-private laundry room. The Kern family moved in from Chicago with a 15 year old girl into writing sci-fi and fantasy, and playing computer games, a 13 year old boy into writing the sports column for the school paper, a master chef father who'd founded a culinary arts school, and an artistic, photographer, couch potato, grumpy mom. Grandma visited often from Chicago, staying in the guest bedroom.
I decorated the house approximately as it would have been when I lived there, using as little custom content as possible, and refreshing my memory with Google Maps. http://g.co/maps/bq4sy
Note that the teenager would have much fun in my old bedroom, hehehe!
Oh dear, I tried this lot on 3 worlds, and had the elevation screwed up, BADLY! Yes, the infamous "it worked fine yesterday" bug. :( And it still looked perfectly alright in the original! Hrm... As I didn't know what else to do, I made it into a 50x50 lot with more mountains and stairs. It's pretty and works nicely, but it's not the same. I'll post a link when I get back into my game/ upload/ etc.. But also, I found this post, if you feel like playing with the original and trying to fix it (before I get around to it). http://twistedenvie.blogspot.com/2011/01/builders-blues.html
