I was asked by our very own CB to do a tutorial on how to use a non EA painting mesh to create pictures and here it is, sorry but there is a lot of pictures within this tut but it is very easy to follow, well if your ready we will begin.First thing to do is find a painting with the size mesh you want from within the community. For this tutorial I am using a mesh by Helen found HERE When you have downloaded your paintings DO NOT install them into game, put the sims 3 pack somewhere easy to find. This tutorial is for Gimp. I am presuming you have already downloaded images to your pc to use for your pictures.

STEP 1 - Open TSR Workshop > Create new Project

STEP 2 - You will see a list above a line (clothing etc) ignore these. Below the line you will see a box, this is what we want so click this

STEP 3 - Click on browse

STEP 4 - Go to the mesh you downloaded, highlight and click open

STEP 5 - You will see it in the browse bar, now click next

STEP 6 - Name your project like I have done here, then click next

STEP 7 - On the next page click OK

STEP 8 - Next you want to click on Textures

STEP 9 - Then on Edit

STEP 10 - This will open up a new window, click on Export and change from dds. to png

STEP 11 - Export this to a safe place you will need it soon (make sure it is png)

STEP 12 - Soon is here LOL, open up your saved export with gimp. Then open as layers

STEP 13 - Locate your images you wish to use and open up the first one. Now click on layers>scale layer for these images I scale to 475 x 475

STEP 14 - Now click on layers>scale layer for these images I scale to 475 x 475

STEP 15 - You will see there is a transparent border. Its meant to be there

STEP 16 - That is that one done. Click on file then save as

STEP 17 - Name and save (I save them in the same place as before) Minimise gimp

STEP 18 - Go back to TSR Worshop and click on Import this time

STEP 19 - Find your saved image from gimp. Then click on continue

STEP 20 - On the next window click on done

STEP 21 - Click on YES, You have just done your first image

STEP 22 - Check in textures again, this will show how many images you can change. With this mesh there are 8

STEP 23 - Repeat image changing steps as before.Until all image meshes have been changed to your own images. Then click on file, export to sims 3 pack. Export it to somewhere safe.

STEP 24 - Thats it done. Now go in game and check your pics. If you are happy you can then share them with the community. For this tutorial I used these pictures now available to download HERE
