that look like a dam good p.c to me. lots of memory which is a big bonus. i really can't see anything wrong with it myself. :)

Yep, gotta agree with Jack, this is a solid PC
Memory is fab, but don't be tricked into paying for the full 16GB RAM expansion.
Most games don't need anything near that much, obviously the more RAM you have the better the game will run but with Sims 3 specifically, the game is limited in how much RAM it can use - 5 or 6GB is more than enough.
As for the graphics, the ATI/AMD Radeon series is a decent set of cards pretty much regardless of what you go for, the 7770 is definitely top end, and the fact that it's got 2GB dedicated memory is fantastic. You'll have no problem running with graphics settings set way up high
Everything else is great!

12GB of RAM... it's double mine xD I remember when I had 256B only x.x

lol 12GB is maHOOsive. It'll be such a fast computer!
Mine's got 6GB ... well, it says it's got 6 - not all of it's useable, but that's the same with any system.
Here are my specs, my game runs like a dream! So mamajanaynay's gaming rig will be amazing!
... I say it runs like a dream, I mean it's perfect aside from slight leg, desk & GPU burning overheating problems haha!
(but I'm getting a cooling plate and more fans fitted as soon as I get paid!)
Graphics hardware specifics: AMD Radeon HD 6620G with 1GB dedicated memory.
Aaand my processor is overclocked, (which, yes, is a very silly thing to do with a laptop) but for some reason it doesn't show the new CPU speed so ignore the 1.6GHz there!
... It runs up to 3.6GHz. now...
My point is, if it runs well on mine with nothing special in there, it will be brilliant on the gaming rig!

Aww no problem!
They say the average laptop these days can run Sims 3 fine, so a dedicated gaming rig is going to be fab without doing too much research on specifics!
Those specs will also have you playing other, more demanding games on high settings pretty easily!
You just need to watch out for cooling, if you can, find out what sort of cooling you're getting.
If you're buying online or something and can't find out, don't worry about it, but keep an eye on things once you've got it set up.
- most gaming PC's have more built in fans and a dedicated fan just for the graphics card, but extra fans can be fitted without too much trouble and they're not too expensive,
As long as you make sure the PC tower isn't cooped up somewhere enclosed where it's going to get really hot you'll be fine

Jack, I just googled gaming pc's and found one on the Best Buy site. However, I can't purchase this system in the store, I have to order online. I've tried posting the web address but when I hit send I keep getting a message about not being able to access the site.
Your system is way better than the one I'm currently using. Let me just say this, it's only by a sheer miracle I am able to run my game at all. I ran a test on my graphics to see if it met the spec's, yeah...it failed.
Isla, I will keep in mind the extra fans, right now my pc is on a shelf near the floor and by a vent. When the air unit turns on, it blows cold air practically right on it, so I think it's getting some extra cooling there. I sure do hope so cuz I know I sure do freeze to death! Lol!

I hate it when sites don't work properly!
Lol it sounds like it'll be kept nice and cool!
My laptop is burning my legs as we speak haha! ... Really need to get a cooling plate for it.

this is what my setup looks like. i run my HP pc through a 50inch Samsung Plasma TV and a Powerful Technics Hi-Fi with cinema suround.
my pc is always nice and cool. it's like touching the side of a fridge. it has three fans. one on the power unit. one over the motherboard and on built in to the graphics card. :)

WOW! Haha that looks amazing!
Mine's just a little baby laptop. Everyone knows what a laptop looks like haha! Nothing impressive to take pictures of here hahaha!
This is mine if anyone's bored. http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/hp-pavilion-g6-1384ea-15-6-laptop-charcoal-11884809-pdt.html
... Exactly the same except mine's got an AMD Quad Core processor instead of the Intel.
They've reduced it!! haha!
The one with the i5 processor was £50 more than the AMD when I bought mine.
I still paid £500 for it but it just goes to show that when they don't have the sale on, you're paying so much extra just for the Intel badge when you could have an AMD with the same power for less!
Not bad for only £500 I think! lol, AMD for the win.

((o.o)) Oh lordy, Jack! I have often wondered what it would be like to play my sims on our 50" (?) flat screen, but my hubby say's " Uh- uh. Ain't gonna happen." Usually my pouty eyes will get him to cave, but not when it comes to my sims, his Fall Out New Vegas ( XBox) and the flat screen. He's afraid I'll take over the tv!
